Why we built Nielsen & Brown

For most of my career, I have worked alongside the businesses that keep the UK moving, leading commercial teams, supporting B2B product and service providers, and helping teams solve practical problems. Throughout all of it, one thing has held my attention: how small, incremental gains in technology, and more recently in AI, can genuinely change the way people work.

That instinct goes back much further than my career.

As a competitive swimmer, I learned early that the gap between good and exceptional is rarely one big leap. It is a hundred small gains, compounded, most of them invisible from the outside. The tenth of a second comes from the turn, the breathing pattern, the thing you fixed in November that nobody watching in March would ever notice. I have never stopped seeing the world that way, and it is exactly how the best AI adoption works. Not one dramatic, chaotic overhaul, but deliberate, compounding improvements that transform how a business operates.

I set up Nielsen & Brown because I watched too many small and medium-sized businesses get sold the same rigid AI tools and sweeping promises as global enterprises, only to be left wondering where to start, how to bring their team along, and whether they would ever see a real return.

There is a better approach, and it is not complicated: identify where AI creates genuine value, design a practical strategy, and deliver the right technology. Whether that means configuring existing off-the-shelf tools or building custom solutions from scratch, the priority is what actually fits your business. Crucially, we do not just hand over software, we stay around to train your people, manage the onboarding, and provide ongoing support. We are completely vendor-independent, so our recommendation is always based on your needs, not a quota set by a vendor.

Starting a business is exciting, but it is also a leap of faith.

I am a husband, a father to three energetic boys, and someone who moved from Denmark to build a life and career in the UK. My wife Chloe backed this vision from day one, including the parts that meant stepping into the unknown, and I could not have done it without her. Between three boys and a growing business, getting an early morning workout in is still where I clear my head and do my best thinking.

I have always believed that hard work, curiosity, and doing the right thing create real opportunity. This is me building a company around a field I have been fascinated by for years, specifically for the kinds of businesses I have spent my entire career serving.
